Presentation In Europe and world-wide, Industrie 4.0 and smart manufacturing designate well-known concepts. They describe optimized networked engineering and production with the objective of delivering smart products by means of digitalization. Very often heterogeneous systems have to be interconnected in this context, and therefore interoperability challenges for system and data engineering are coming up.
